How to Play

Confidence games are a fun combination of Pick ’em with specific aspects of Bet ’em. The objective is to win as many points as possible over the course of the season. Confidence games are a combination of picking which team will win and applying the most confidence points to the games you won.

The first thing you have to do is to correctly pick the winning team. If you pick the winning team correctly, then you get the amount of confidence points you wagered on that game. There is a sequential number of confidence points you can wager on each game which equal the amount of games for that week. So if there are 14 NFL games, there are 14 confidence points. You can only use each point once so for the game you are the least confident in, you give 1 point. For the team you are most confident in, you give 14 points.

The person with the most points each week is the weekly winner. The person with the most points at the end of the season is the champion.

Setting Up Your League

To set up your league, click on Create League.

NAME: The first thing you’ll need to do is name your league. Don’t worry, you can change this at any time.

SEASON: After that, you’ll need to choose which leagues you want to include for betting.

REGULA OR AGAINST THE SPREAD: There are two ways to play Confidence, regular and against the spread. Regular means you only have to pick which team will win the game. Against the Spread means you need to pick the team which covers the spread. So, if the Steelers are favored by +3.5 points, they need to win by 4 points for you to get the confidence points.

PICKS DEADLINE: The commissioner can pick whether or not all the picks have to be in by the start of the first game of the week or if users can make their picks until the start of each game.

TIE BREAKER: In the event that two people end the week with the same number of points, the commissioner can choose to use the total points of the last week of the week as a tie breaker. The winner who was closer to the total will be the weekly winner.

How do Confidence Points Work

Each week every person in the league is given a sequential amount of confidence points which coincide with the number of games that week. Each number can only be used once and the highest confidence points are worth the most as you want to have the most points at the end of the week and the season.
